Midwest March 10th Demonstration in Chicago About UsSFT educates young people about the situation in occupied Tibet and works on translating that awareness into action through non-violent political, economic, and social campaigns. We recognize the legal and historical status of Tibet as an independent country and support the right of the Tibetan people to determine their own future. We are an international organization, engaging in coordinated campaigns, projects and events around the world. It is vital that we communicate effectively and efficiently to all of our members and that all of us have a chance to play a role in decision making. In that vein, we are continuously refining our communication and decision making structure. If you have ideas or suggestions, please let us know what you think we can do to make things better! We educate young people about human rights violations in Tibet and translate awareness into action through non-violent political, economic, and human rights campaigns. We work with a coalition of peace and social justice, interfaith, and human rights organizations to accomplish our goals and foster dialogue and understanding within our global community. Upcoming EventsWe just completed March Tenth (see picture above), or Tibetan National Uprising Day. Pictures of both the Madison and Chicago demonstrations will be posted soon. Check out phayul.com for articles and march10.org for more information and pictures from all the demonstrations held around the world! Tibet
